Parker McCollum has been added as an opener for George Strait’s stadium show at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on July 30th, joining the likes of Chris Stapleton & Little Big Town in the lineup.

It will be George’s first time playing the venue in over 20 years, as the last time he made a visit was in 2001.

This will be a massive milestone for Parker in his career, because as a Texas native, George Strait is the man he looks up to the most in country music. It’s sure to be a helluva concert that you definitely won’t want to miss if you’re in the area.

And you can add this accomplishment to the already massive year Parker’s had so far, from getting married to his longtime girlfriend Hallie, to his recent win as the ACM Awards New Male Artist of the Year, to making his debut at RodeoHouston and scoring his second career #1 with “To Be Loved By You”.

This is surely the icing on the cake for him and a dream come true, and it’s hard to imagine life getting any better for Parker right now.

And he also recently covered George’s hit, “Carrying Your Love With Me”… who knows, maybe (hopefully) they’ll even sing it together at the concert:
