Parker McCollum Set To Make His Houston Rodeo Debut

Parker McCollum is about to check another item off the bucket list when he makes his debut on the main stage at the Houston rodeo in 2022.

He was just announced as a headliner for the show in March of next year, saying:

“We did it y’all… we actually did it.”

In a video posted by the Houston rodeo, Parker announced the show himself, saying that it’s been a lifelong dream of his to headline this particular show.

With past headliners that includes the likes of Dolly Parton, Alabama, Merle Haggard more recently, his fellow Texas native Cody Johnson, it’s not hard to imagine why:

“Hey, Parker McCollum here. We’re on tour right now. We got some huge news, we are going to be playing the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 12th next year.

We are absolutely stoked to announce this. Been dreaming about playing it my whole life.

Tickets will be on sale in January. This is the 90th year of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We’re so excited. Tickets on sale in January, we’ll see y’all March 12th.”

With the Houston Rodeo being canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to coronavirus concerns, I’m sure it will be all the more exciting for fans to see him there live.

Parker joins an already stellar lineup of George Strait and Cody Johnson for the 2022 rodeo, and the remaining performers will be announced on January 5th.

I have a feeling he’ll be playing his fan-favorite, Chris Stapleton-penned track “Like A Cowboy” during his set:
