If you remember back to last week, a Connecticut woman was filming going absolutely ape shit on a member of the United States Navy in a Berlin pizza parlor. On September 11th of all days…
Accusing him of stolen valor, called him disgusting, threw his hat and even slapped him in the face.
Only problem… he was very much IN the Navy.
According to the Hartford Courant, 45 year old Lori Desjardins of Southington was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. She turned herself in Thursday at the police station, where she was processed and released on bond.
Sean Nolte Jr. described the incident on Facebook:
“She kept claiming that my military ID is fake, and proceeds to show me her dependent military ID, and screams ‘This is what your ID should look like.’
In a last-ditch effort to leave, she rushes towards me and slaps me in the left side of my face.
Being in uniform, I must maintain professionalism, so I stand there and proceed to wish her a nice day.”
Nolte is a submarine electronics fire control technician, currently serving with the U.S. Navy in Groton. He is also a volunteer firefighter.
Desjardins is due back in court on September 23rd.
