Luke Combs Pays Homage To The Home State With Cover Of Eric Church’s “Carolina”

Where has this been all my life?

After spending 16 hours a day on the internet for the past 5 years or so, you’d think I’ve seen everything there is to see. But every once in a while, you stumble across something new. And how sweet it is when you do.

Back in 2017, Luke and the boys tipped the cap the home state and fellow North Carolina native, the great Eric Church, with a tour bus acoustic performance of “Carolina,” one of Eric’s most underrated tunes in my humble opinion.

Although it was the title track from his sophomore album back in 2009, “Carolina” just never seems to get the love it deserves.

Luke and the boys… well, they cover Eric Church about as well as anybody in the business.

And of course, not even three years later, Luke was recording a duet with Eric for his sophomore smash album, What You See Is What You Get.

Talk about a full circle moment.
