Ah, the ’90s.
It’s been a rough 2020, and it’s still hard to believe we lost Joe Diffie at the end of March.
I was digging into the well on YouTube when I came across a Thomas Rhett upload from seven years ago (the video is obviously from the 90’s) showing him and his dad, Rhett Akins, covering the Diffie classic, “Third Rock from the Sun.”
Side note: shocked at the amount of people that have messaged us in the past saying they never realized Rhett Akins was Thomas’ dad.
Now look, we’ve given Thomas Rhett a truckload of shit for his dancing and pop music, but lately, he’s finding his old self.
Songs like “More Time Fishin” and “Country Again” have fans from the early days excited to see what that next album will sound like.
