Shania Twain has new music on the way.
She just announced a brand new single called “Waking Up Dreaming” is coming this Friday:

I am super excited to share with you that my new song ‘Waking Up Dreaming’ is coming out this Friday!!
She added that, in the midst of working on her Let’s Go! Las Vegas residency over the past couple years and premiering her new documentary Not Just A Girl over the summer, she’s also been working on tons of new music.
According to the queen herself, this new single is just the beginning of much more to come, and I can’t wait to find out what exactly she means:
“I’ve spent the last couple years working away on new music… on my documentary… on the Vegas residency and it’s been such a creatively fulfilling time for me, I can’t wait for this next chapter and ‘Waking Up Dreaming’ is just the start.

Shania’s fifth, and most recent, studio album was Now, which she released back in 2017, so the thought of new tunes on the way gets me all sorts of excited…
And the 90’s country legend was recently honored with the with the ACM Poets Award at the ACM Honors, with Avril Lavigne tipping the cap to one of her musical heroes (and fellow Canadian) with a great cover of “No One Needs To Know” at the show:
