Sturgill Simpson and the “Hillbilly Avengers,” as he has affectionately named his exception crew of bluegrass pickers, are taping an episode of Austin City Limits.
“Very excited and pleased to announce that “Sturgill & The Hillbilly Avengers” are heading to Austin to cut some grass for a very special full hour long episode of ACL! Episode will air in the near future…stay tuned for details!”
This will be Sturgill’s second appearance on the show. Back in 2015, he performed shortly after the release of Metamodern Sounds in Country Music.
