While he might known to many as a professional football player, it’s his work off the field that is truly commendable. As an Army Ranger, Villanueva served three tours in Afghanistan, earning a bronze star for his bravery and valor during an ambush 2011. Last year, Villanueva shared a powerful video essay on what Memorial Day means to him, from Arlington National Cemetery.
