Incredible.

Remember Vince Offer? You may not recognize the name, but you probably remember him for his late-night commercials as the “ShamWow guy” or advertising products like the Slap Chop.

The iconic pitchman, known for wearing a headset microphone in his infomercials, is really named Offer Vince Shlomi, and these days he’s decided to get into politics, running for Congress in the 31st District of Texas, just north of Austin.

Shlomi is running as a Republican against incumbent John Carter. The current congressman has represented the district since its creation in 2003, and had previously served as a judge in Texas for over two decades.

Carter is 84 years old, basically a spring chicken in Washington D.C. these days, but the ShamWow guy apparently believes it’s time for some new, younger blood in the House of Representatives. He just released his first ad for his congressional campaign, and it’s everything you’d want from a campaign ad for a TV pitchman.

In the ad, offer takes aim at Carter’s age, even comparing him to our former president:

“Stop having a politician that’s worse than Biden. Instead, vote for me, a guy who’s not half dead.”

And as you’d expect, there are plenty of Slap Chop and ShamWow puns throughout the ad:

“I’m going to soak up the swamp, clean the House, and pick up those liberal tears at the same time. I’m going to Slap Chop the nuts out of the woke, making less blue haired commies, and more red-blooded Americans.”

The most shocking part of the ad, though, comes at the end when Shlomi apparently wanted to signal that he’s pro-life by having a fetus on an ultrasound endorse him, giving a thumbs up and enthusiastically encouraging viewers to “Vote for ShamWow.”

I mean, you just have to watch the whole thing:

It’s not a surprise that guy who did television infomercials could made such a creative and entertaining ad.

Vince got his start in advertising by pitching his own film, The Underground Comedy Movie, on late night Comedy Central ads. He then began to market a towel that he had seen being sold at flea markets, which was of course the ShamWow, selling millions of the absorbent towels.

In 2008 he also began appearing in advertisements for the Slap Chop, a kitchen gadget that promises to make all of your slicing and dicing easy. His ads gained attention for his aggressiveness and suggestive lines like “you’re going to love my nuts,” and once again Vince cemented himself alongside Billy Mays as one of the top TV pitchmen.

He has previously revealed that he was inspired to get into politics by the assassination of Charlie Kirk last year, and that he wants to follow in Kirk’s footsteps as a “woke buster.”

“He is a woke buster. I felt like I have Charlie Kirk’s spirit in me, in a sense—or near me. It’s drawn me to do this.”

I guess I’m becoming the woke buster myself.”

A few months ago, he even released a “Ghostbusters” parody video called “Woke Busters,” rewriting the lyrics to take aim at the left:

“When there’s something creepy
Looking at your pee pee
Who you gonna call?
Wokebusters”

Now, I have no idea whether he really stands a chance against Carter or not. But it’s safe to say that he hasn’t lost his touch when it comes to making commercials.
