It’s been nearly two years since the dramatic breakup between country star Zach Bryan and influencer Brianna Chickenfry. At this point Zach is already married, appears to be happy and has moved on with his life.

The social media personality took to TikTok earlier today before heading out to a Noah Kahan concert in Boston tonight to share her side of the now-infamous incident between Kahan and her then-boyfriend the last time he played at Fenway Park.
You may recall at the time that Kahan announced during the show that he had a “great guest” lined up, but that it fell through:
“I gotta be honest with you, we had a great guest coming tonight, it didn’t work out, so I hope I’ve been enough for you all.”

Noah was featured on Zach’s song “Sarah’s Place” from his 2023 EP Boys of Faith. And Zach has frequently covered Noah’s hit song “Stick Season,” while the two have expressed their mutual admiration for each other numerous times.
So when Noah mentioned that he had a guest lined up for Fenway Park, fans quickly noticed that Chickenfry was in attendance for the show and began to speculate that it was the “Something In the Orange” singer who was supposed to appear with Noah during his big moment.
Rumors quickly began to fly that Zach bailed on the show because he was too drunk, and the speculation only intensified when fans noticed that that Zach and Noah no longer followed each other on Instagram, despite previously liking each other’s posts fairly regularly.
Chickenfry (whose real name is Brianna Lapaglia) quickly shot down the rumors, responding that Zach wasn’t even at the show, and that he wasn’t able to perform because his “voice was fried” from a show a couple of days earlier, so he was resting up to get back out on the road. And Zach himself addressed the rumors by posting a photo on his Instagram story of a FaceTime call between himself and Kahan with both giving thumbs up, sending a message to those who were speculating that there’s trouble between the two friends:
“can you guys stop being weirdos on the internet, Noah is a brother to me and always will be what the hell man”
According to Chickenfry though, none of that was true.
Brianna says that at the time, she wasn’t even allowed to listen to Noah Kahan because Zach was jealous – something that she’s also previously said was true of Morgan Wallen as well. But she decided to surprise her friends and take them to the show at Fenway Park, and when Zach found out he decided that he would just appear at the show as a surprise guest:
“He was like, ‘Perfect, I’ll play with him. I’ll be the surprise guest.’ I’m like, ‘What? You don’t even like this man.’ But I’m like, whatever, okay, now that he’s going to be going, then we’ll get VIP treatment.”
But Chickenfry claims that Zach got a little too intoxicated the night before the show, so he bailed on appearing with Kahan:
“So, it was the night before Noah Kahan. You guessed it, motherf—er got angry drunk. I don’t even remember, I literally blocked this time out of my life, but I just remember waking up and being like, ‘Hey, I’m going to go to the show that you’re playing at, you’re playing at … Fenway Ballpark, motherf—er. You don’t just get to skip Fenway Ballpark, motherf—er.’
He’s like, ‘No, I can’t do it, I can’t do it.’ I’m like, ‘Why? Why? You have to do it. You can’t tell someone they’re going to perform with them and then not do it.’
‘Too hungover, I don’t want to go.’ … Being hungover is not an excuse. Why are you hungover? Because of yourself. So if you have an obligation, you make it work.
Anyway, he’s like, ‘Maybe I’ll meet you there.’ I’m like, okay, whatever.”
She says she went to the concert, where Kahan’s team kept asking her where he was. And that eventually, he blamed her for agreeing to do it in the first place:
“Obviously, the guilt hits him and he’s like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m not showing up for this guy.’ Then I get this phone call. ‘The only reason I f—ing agreed to it is because you like him. I only did this for you. This is all your fault. My reputation’s on the line.’
Concert starts, keep in mind, I’m with all of my hometown best friends, my family. This is a really important, special time. I spent half the concert crying in the bathroom because I’m getting screamed at.”
And after the speculation began, Brianna says that Zach asked her to defend him and dispel the rumors, something she says she regrets doing:
“Who am I? A b–ch-a-s loser for doing that s–t. Just lying through my f—ing teeth for a sack of s–t, for a sack of s–t for no reason.”

Now, obviously neither Zach nor Noah have spoken on the incident, or even confirmed that Zach was supposed to be the surprise guest. But Brianna is more than happy to keep talking about it for them, apparently.
