The Internet Is Convinced That George W. Bush Took An Edible Before The Presidential Inauguration

Well, today is the day we’ve all long been either waiting for or dreading…

That’s right, Ohio State plays Notre Dame in the College Football National Championship tonight at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, a match-up that has fanbases of both schools (but especially the Fighting Irish) absolutely fired up to show that they belong on top of college football despite suffering some bad losses throughout the year.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know there’s something that happening today. In fact, it all went down just a short drive from where I sit writing this in Northern Virginia.

Inauguration Day In DC

At around noon, Donald Trump was officially sworn in to become the 47th President of the United States of America in a ceremony that was far from short on interesting moments.

Right from the jump the internet was all over the outfit that Melania Trump showed up in, which was pretty cool but some viewed as a statement that big things were going to happen during this administration.

Theo Von made a hilarious joke to Conor McGregor regarding Jake and Logan Paul, Barron Trump literally towered over everybody present, Kid Rock made a BBC reporter super uncomfortable, basically everything that one would expect to happen when Trump brings his supporters around happened, but there’s been a lot of chatter centering on one of the former presidents in attendance.

Any time Obama says anything to George Bush the internet explodes. Bad lip readings, funny memes, really we don’t know what’s going to come out of it but it’s a guarantee that something is going to catch fire online and today was no exception.

Before everyone entered the Rotunda, a staffer approached Bush and teasingly asked him “Are you going to behave?” but before he could respond, Obama chimed in from behind with a “Nope,” which was objectively hilarious.

They also shared a moment during Obama’s entrance that had Bush cracking up and left people guessing what he possibly said.

But did you happen to get a look at George Bush there? He certainly looked… happy to say the least.

Was George Bush High?

Now, I think it has to be one of the best feelings of all-time to be up there with the former presidents, part of an exclusive club that just a handful of people share at any given moment, so he certainly could have just been enjoying the moment and happy to be part of the peaceful transition of power.

There’s no pressure, people are respecting you, the only other dudes in history that understand what you went through are standing right next to you, yeah man I can see him just being high on life, taking in the moment, and also being relieved that it’s not him taking that oath of office again.

However, as you’d expect, the internet came up with a different theory.

Was George W. Bush on an edible at the inauguration? Take a look for yourself at some of the commentary and clips that are floating around right now.

Now I’m no expert and maybe he’s just an old man who’s having a good day after retreating for years into his ranch to work on painting. He’s certainly a chuckling, good old boy type of guy but it does appear there’s something that’s making him smile just a bit more than he usually would.

Is this a good sign for the marijuana legalization proponents? Maybe, Trump has spoken favorably about legalizing or at least removing weed as a Schedule 1 drug, so time will tell.

Then again, Bush doesn’t even drink alcohol so the chances that he took an edible before one of his biggest public appearances in years…yeah, not really likely.

But if George Bush was zooted up there on the inauguration stage, I think it’s a pretty good sign that legal weed may be just around the corner…
