College football is BACK.
Just a couple weeks ago, the SEC Network kicked off its 13th season as a channel, and they tapped a very fitting artist to revamp the new theme song and opening sequence for SEC Nation, the network’s weekly, traveling pre-game show in Megan Moroney.
The country star has had a heck of a 2026, after scoring her first ever #1 album on the Billboard Top 200 chart with her third studio album, Cloud 9, earlier this year. Of course, she first burst onto the scene four years ago with her song college football-themed song “Tennessee Orange,” and since then, she’s had hits like “6 Months Later,”
SEC Nation first debuted the song on August 28th, 2014, with a customized version of Robert Randolph and The Family Band’s “Take The Party” as its opening theme song. Over a decade ago, Randolph worked closely with network producers to develop custom lyrics for “Party Wherever We Go,” which fits the SEC and mentions all of the teams.
Megan put her own spin on it which celebrates the 16 SEC teams, and she says she’s very excited to be singing this year’s SEC Nation theme song, and of course, she’ll be cheering for her Georgia Bulldogs:
“I am so excited to be singing this year’s SEC Nation theme song… as always, Go Dawgs.”
SEC Network viewers will hear the Megan’s version in full during SEC Nation broadcasts, as the three-hour program airs at 9 a.m. ET each week, followed directly after by Marty and McGee.
SEC Nation welcomes new host Matt Barrie leading the desk, and is joined by returning SEC Nation personalities Tim Tebow, Roman Harper and Paul Finebaum as well as newcomers Chase Daniel and Marion Crowder.
Country music and college football go hand-in-hand, artist like Lainey Wilson, Darius Rucker, Luke Combs and more have done theme songs for different networks and shows, so it’s cool to see Megan getting in on it, and obviously, it makes a ton of sense with her Georgia connection (she graduated from UGA in 2020), and of course, her SEC-focused hit, the aforementioned “Tennessee Orange.”

Megan will wrap up her headlining Cloud 9 tour in October, as she is currently on the European leg.
