Maybe not the best look when you’re getting ready to go on trial, but I get it…
Alec Baldwin is no doubt under a lot of pressure these days, as the actor is set to go on trial in July over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchens on the set of Rust back in 2021.
Baldwin was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter, and his trial will begin just months after a jury convicted the film’s armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed on her charge of involuntary manslaughter.
So yeah, ol’ Alec’s probably a little more on edge these days.
But it definitely didn’t help that this heckler confronted him while he was in a coffee shop and began heckling him as he was on the phone.
The anti-Israel protestor films Baldwin in the coffee shop as she repeatedly asks him to speak out on behalf of Palestine while also bringing up the Rust shooting:
“Can you please say ‘Free Palestine’ one time? Why did you kill that lady? You killed that lady and got no jail time? No jail time Alec? You’re putting innocent people in jail Alec Baldwin. ‘Free Palestine’ one time and I’ll leave you alone. I’ll leave you alone, I swear. Just say ‘Free Palestine’ one time. One time.”
Baldwin and an employee of the coffee shop attempt to usher the lady to the door, with the actor asking the employee to call the police. The heckler then turns to the employee to continue to trash Baldwin:
“You know he’s a criminal. You know he’s a f*cking criminal.”
She then turns her attention back to Baldwin and her anti-Israel tirade:
“Come on Alec, just say ‘Free Palestine’ one time. One time. Just one time, please, and I’ll leave you alone. ‘Free Palestine. Fuck Israel. Fuck Zionism.’ Please say it. One time.”
Well it seems that at that point Baldwin had had enough, and appears to slap the camera before it cuts off.
I’ve gotta admit, it takes a lot to make me like Alec Baldwin, but in this case, I kind of get it.
