Yeah, I might have just skipped class if I were still in college.

Of course it didn’t really take much for me to skip class when I was in college. Bad weather? I’m not walking in that. Good weather? It’s too nice to be stuck in class. So what I’m trying to say is I’m probably not the best example here. But this…I think everybody would understand if you decided to stay home in this.

The eastern part of the United States is currently getting hammered by severe storms, with tornado watches all over the place and hurricane-force winds hammering states like Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Alabama.

As I write this I’m sitting here in Nashville with my weather alerts on just hoping that it’s not as bad as they say it’s going to be. But I know it’s coming for us.

And it’s already hit Kentucky – and one UK student found out the hard way just how strong these winds are.

Video shared by WKYT in Lexington shows a University of Kentucky student being blown over by the winds as they tried to make their way across campus in the driving rain and wind.

Yeah, no thanks. If you need me, I’ll be inside until this blows over. And hopefully my roof will still be on my house too.
