NFL Fans Have A Field Day Mocking Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones & His Scribbled-On Notepad

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is always an easy target for social media evisceration, and he certainly didn’t help himself out with this latest media interaction.

To make a long story short, “America’s Team” hasn’t done much this offseason to improve on their roster. In fact, Dallas fans would be quick to tell you that the Cowboys have gotten worse by doing nothing at all in the critical free agency period.

Who’s to blame for that? Well, a lot of fingers are pointing at Jerry Jones, as they often are. The 81-year-old has owned the team since 1989, and though his team had a ton of success in the 1990’s (Super Bowl wins in 1993, 1994, 1996), the Boys haven’t done all that much since the turn of the century.

For a longtime, fans have clamored for Jerry Jones to sell the team, but that’s not going to happen. Especially after the internet saw Jerry’s master plan that was scribbled down on a notepad. A media member had a chance to ask the Cowboys owner a question in regards to Dak Prescott being capable of winning a Super Bowl, and Jones said this:

“I think there are a handful or more of quarterbacks playing who haven’t won a Super Bowl that will win a Super Bowl. I think Dak is one of them. I’m firm there. He’s one of the ones who can.”

Sounds like something you should say if you are asked about your franchise quarterback (even though Prescott was recently caught up in a sexual assault investigation). However, people didn’t pay attention to that quote as much as they did the notepad that Jerry Jones had in his lap in the picture that was included with the post.

Take a look for yourself and see why it’s caught the attention of social media:

Man, those are some great notes Jerry!

As you can see, Jones appeared to just aimlessly scribble on the notepad. And in case you can’t see it, here’s a closer, zoomed-in look of the Cowboys owner’s in depth note taking:

I don’t think I’ve scribbled on a piece of paper like that since I left elementary school. The image sparked some concern amongst Dallas fans, and also prompted a majority of those online to bring all the jokes and memes they could in the replies and re-posts:
