Taylor Swift Will Reportedly Attend Super Bowl LVIII If The Chiefs Make It Despite A Concert In Japan The Night Before

Talk about commitment! If global pop superstar Taylor Swift manages to jet set from Japan to Las Vegas right before Super Bowl LVIII kicks off, she should forever command the respect of all NFL fans.

Swift’s boo Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up for their sixth straight AFC Championship Game. A win would get them to the Big Game in Las Vegas.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that T-Swift is most likely to make the halfway ’round the world flight to see her guy do his thing on professional sports’ biggest stage. Here’s how it would happen:

If that’s TLDL for ye (Too Long, Didn’t Listen), the long and short of it is as follows: Thanks to that whole time zone thing, Taylor’s concert in Japan — estimated to run for a whole five hours, holy sh*t! — will wrap up at around 11 p.m. local time on February 10th.

That means it’ll be 6 a.m. on the Saturday before the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. RapSheet gives Taylor about an hour to get to whatever opulent aviation apparatus she’s accustomed to, take the 12-hour flight, and touch down in Sin City the night before the Chiefs take on either the Lions or 49ers.

What a whirlwind if it comes to pass! Hard to bet against Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, but the Chiefs have their work cut out just to survive and advance in Baltimore. It feels like this is the Ravens’ time. Lamar Jackson is about to be a two-time league MVP and could really boost his standing in the sport with a Super Bowl MVP on top of it.

The Chiefs continuing their dynasty is an awesome story. Lamar fully validating his greatness beyond reproach with a Lombardi Trophy is arguably better. But hey, if the former happens, we’ll get Taylor Swift at the freaking Super Bowl, which will piss off so many people. I can’t emphasize enough how much I’d love to see that.

It still makes no sense to me why so many Americans are in their feelings about seeing Taylor show up to watch the Chiefs. The NFL is loving it I’m sure, because just look at the viewership numbers skyrocket.

Feels like a winning situation for everyone, right?

Whatever. The Ravens are heavy favorites on Championship Sunday, so this scenario probably won’t even happen. The AFC Championship Game kind of already feels like the Super Bowl if I’m being honest. Whether it’s Baltimore or Kansas City, I’m confident the last team standing at the end of Super Bowl LVIII will be from the AFC. Guess we’ll find out if Taylor Swift will be on hand to see the Chiefs win yet another championship in several hours’ time.

People have tried to tell me that Taylor’s Kelce custom jacket isn’t the protective totem against any Swiftie curse. The Chiefs have done nothing but win since she started donning it. Just saying.
