Last November, Muscadine Bloodline dropped two brand new singles dubbed “Weyerhaeuser Land,” and “Low Hangin’ Fruit,” giving us all a glimpse of what their upcoming album has to offer.
The Alabama duo picked up right where they left off from their Teenage Dixie album, showing off their out of this world storytelling abilities and pure country sound.
Although I was a big fan of both singles, the one that I’ve found myself spinning non stop is “Weyerhaeuser Land.”
The song itself is about a small town romance between a girl named Jade who had just moved to town from up north, and how she isn’t a fan of the outdoors lifestyle, and a guy who is doing everything he can to change her mind.
The lyrics speak for itself:
“This ol town she keeps on putting down
Won’t be long till she’s all about some
Little loving in the long leaf pines
Lay right beside me by creek Moran
Get lost in the dead of night
Way off on Weyerhaeuser Land
Back and forth from the county line
Run down the middle of a rural route road

And now, we have an official music video to go along with the song. Throughout the video, you can see ol’ Jade finally starting to get acclimated to the south alongside her new significant other.
