Skip Bayless Blames Taylor Swift For Kansas City Chiefs’ Recent Struggles

It’s simply the American way to point fingers at someone or something when things go wrong.

For the longest time, it seemed as though everything was going right for the Kansas City Chiefs. The combination of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Head Coach Andy Reid together led to an NFL dynasty that many thought would never be toppled. Together, the Chiefs has won two Super Bowls in four seasons, but then Taylor Swift happened…

Early on, when Swift and Kelce had first started dating, having her at games appeared to be a good luck charm. Anytime the pop star was up in the stands, Kelce and the Chiefs coincidentally played better, and Head Coach Andy Reid even said she should come to all the games she can since the team was doing so well with her in attendance.

However, things have taken a turn as of late, with Kansas City losing three of their last four games. The magic seems to be dwindling, considering that Swift has been in attendance for many of those losses. CBS was the real MVP and made sure to get Swift’s reaction after their loss this past weekend:

So who is at fault for these recent losses for the Chiefs? Is it Patrick Mahomes’ poor play at quarterback? Or perhaps bad play calling from Andy Reid and his staff? Well, some people think that there’s another, more ridiculous reason for the struggles as of late: Taylor Swift.

Professional sports analyst and walking gas bag Skip Bayless took to his social media this past weekend amidst the Chiefs loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and decided to ask some questions about the pop star’s impact on the Kansas City team:

“Feels like it’s about time to call Taylor Swift a distraction. What do you think, Patrick? Andy? How about you, Travis?”

Obviously, neither Patrick, Andy, or Travis answered those questions, though it would be interesting to see what they had to say about the matter. Bayless hammered down his point on his show Undisputed, where funny enough, he was actually disputed by his co-hosts when he brought up the “Taylor Swift Effect.”

You’ll have to watch the video below and decide if Skip’s argument has any legs:
