The reunion we never thought we needed.
Once the holiday season rolls around, there are two movies that will automatically be played in my house… And I’m talking about Home Alone and Home Alone 2. I mean c’mon, those are two movies that will never get old, even though I could probably recite every line to each movie at this point in my life.
However, I have to admit that I’ve always wondered what a Home Alone 3 would be like. A real one…
No, I’m not talking about the one they made with a new main character and bad guys… should’ve never been made. I’m talking about a brand new third movie starring much of the original cast, with Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, Joe Pesci as Harry, and Daniel Stern as Marv.
Although this reunion may never happen, some sick individuals got all of our hopes up by posting a fake trailer of a third movie on YouTube. The trailer kicks off with a grown up Culkin opening his front door, and noticing a red bag. He opens it, only to find a message from Harry and Marv, reading:
“We’re back little buddy.”
Sure enough, he noticed the “Oh-Kay Plumbing and Heating” van across the street that Harry and Marv used to drive back in the day. The trailer then shows Culkin setting up several booby traps around the house, and even torturing Harry and Marv when they attempt to seek revenge. Even the SWAT team has to get involved.
Of course, this is all completely fake, but I’m all in for the nostalgic feel of a legit third movie.
