There’s reeling in a largemouth bass, and then there’s ripping the lip of a bass that is so large, it makes you turn into a jackass (in a good way).
This old man is going viral on social media for his questionable-yet-hilarious reaction to catching a big ole fish. In the clip, the bass fisherman is holding his impressive catch up for the camera, showcasing his 8 pound, 9 ounce largemouth bass. The person recording asks the man what he has to say about the fish he reeled in, and almost instinctively, the dude shouts:
“HEE-HAW! HEE-HAW! HEE-HAW!”
He also goes on to say “Donkey Nation does it again,” which I’m assuming (after a little research) is referring to a fishing guide in Pensacola, Florida by the name of Donkey Nation. They must be pretty damn good if their clients (or workers) willingly make guttural donkey noises anytime they catch a fish.
The caption for the post is almost as funny as the video itself, and I have to say that I agree with the idea of letting this older fisherman have more of a say in our country’s elections:
“This guy should be allowed to vote twice. Maybe even three times.”
I will now make sure that I yell “HEE-HAW” anytime I catch a fish for the rest of my life, in honor of this man (and I guess Donkey Nation).
Social media users on X (formerly Twitter) were loving the video of the older bass fisherman making himself look like a jackass (again, in a good way), sending out replies below the post saying:
