The genius behind “Killin’ Time.”

Thirty-five years have passed since Clint Black released his debut album. And in honor of the success of Killin’ Time, which launched Black’s career, he is hitting the road to honor the album that started it all.

“Time flies when you’re killin’ it! Hear the whole album, top to bottom, plus a lot of other hits on my 35th anniversary tour! Get your tickets or RSVP now at the link in my bio, and I’ll see you on the road!”

Clint Black is hitting the road to play Killin’ Time from top to bottom, with some of his other hits sprinkled in.

Killin’ Time is one of the country albums that helped define the groundbreaking country sound for which the decade is known. With deep twangs throughout the guitar riffs, lots of pedal steel guitar, and jukebox jiving sounds, the ’90s were something else. As a member of a new crop of neo-traditional country artists dubbed the “Class of ’89,” Black was one of those artists credited with turning the tide in country music and influencing the ’90s country sound that everybody loves today.

With the album containing his famed title track along with other songs like “Better Man,” “Nothing’s News,” and “Walkin’ Away,” some of Black’s biggest hits are homed on Killin’ Time.

The 24-stop tour kicks off in February of 2024 with three nights at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, and concludes in July in North Dakota.

Clint Black is still a helluva performer 35 years later, and this album is filled with dang good country music. This is not one you’ll want to miss.
