Jelly Roll Was ELECTRIC Kicking Off The NASCAR Race At Texas Motor Speedway

Jelly Roll
NASCAR

This man has literally been everywhere recently…

Jelly Roll is one of the hottest things in Nashville over the past few years, but things were kicked into high gear following the release of his album Whitsitt Chapelwhich was the first true country album that the former rapper and rocker released over his long and busy career.

A native of Music City, Jelly Roll has been the go-to feature on nearly everyone’s album of late, including Riley Green and Cody Johnson, been nominated for 5 CMA Awards, appeared on the wildly popular Joe Rogan Experience, stopped by the Chesterfield County Jail to hang out with recovering addicts, and has honestly been so many places and done so many things that it’s hard to keep track of.

But just yesterday, Jelly got the chance to do something many want to do, but few get the chance to.

He was asked to be the Grand Marshal of the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

Standing in front of a mic and getting to scream “Gentlemen, start your engines” is a dream for pretty much every dude on the planet and that moment has provided us with all sorts of awesome memories over the years.

Who can forget Matthew McConaughey’s iconic start to Austin’s inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race or the spectacular performance laid out by Kevin James?

For those who may not have seen Kevin’s, here you go…

While I don’t believe anyone can really compete with that, Jelly Roll certainly gave it his all yesterday when it was his turn to kick off the NASCAR race.

In his own words, he understood the assignment…

It’s great to see a good guy like him really make it and see large success and I hope we see a lot more of him out in the wild from here on out.
