Tim McGraw is getting back in the cinematic saddle.

While he’s been no stranger to a movie set throughout his career (how can we forget chubby Tim in Four Christmases and his role in the Friday Night Lights movie?), McGraw rose to new heights as an actor with his role in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel 1883, with Joe Rogan praising his performance when Sheridan stopped by his podcast a little while back.

Well, it’s just been announced the Tim will be starring in a new show for Netflix and it sounds like it’s going to be another good one.

While the series has yet to be titled, Netflix announced this new project during their Upfront presentation on Wednesday and Tim also posted the below teaser to social media.

Written and created by Brandon Camp (Love & Gelato, Benji) the show is about the rough and tumble world of professional bull riding. McGraw’s character is a megastar whose career is being challenged by an hot shot youngster.

The announcement included the following synopsis:

“The series follows a megastar champion played by Tim McGraw. He faces a life-or-death crossroads when confronted by the arrival of a fearless young rider whose very existence challenges his ways and unearths secrets that force him to reckon with his past.”

Safe to say, this is going to be another must watch.

There’s no further details on the drama yet but we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Until then, grab a 7 day free trial of Paramount+ to see some of Tim’s finest work with 1883.
