You never know who’s gonna pop into a show in Nashville.

Last night, Losers Bar & Grill celebrated its 19th birthday, which featured performances from likes of Ernest, Riley Green, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser and more, in what looked like a great evening full of great country music.

Loser’s is part of the duo of bars in Midtown possibly better known as Winners & Losers, and Winners had been the host of the very successful Whiskey Jam event for the last 10-plus years.

Whiskey Jam, which is relocating to Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Downtown Nashville, was every Monday night at Winner’s.

Winner’s announced that they will be keeping a similar Monday night event on their schedule, which will now be called WhiskeyFest, and that’s what took place in the Loser’s parking lot last night.

Whiskey Jam hosted everybody from Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs to Ashley McBryde and Kacey Musgraves, way before they were household names, and the reaction with all of the new branding has been very mixed, to say the least.

Anywho, last night at the celebration that was part of WhiskeyFest, Morgan Wallen showed up for a surprise performance of “Flower Shops” with Ernest during his set.

They dropped the fan-favorite, good old fashioned heartbreaker back on New Year’s Eve of 2021, which was the lead single to Ernest’s 2022 second studio album Flower Shops (The Album), and has since been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Filled with some absolutely beautiful steel guitar, “Flower Shops” was written by Ernest, Ben Burgess and Mark Holman and was inspired by George Jones’ classic “A Good Year For The Roses.”

And with this being a free even, I’d say fans got more than their money’s worth and were thrilled to have such a big name in a surprise guest.
