Logan Mize Teams Up With His Wife, Jill Martin, For Debut Duo Project, ‘The Mizes’

Logan Mize country music
The Mizes

I have to say, Logan Mize is one of the most underrated names in country music.

The Kansas native has quietly been putting together the best country music of his extensive career, as his last two albums, Still That Kid and Welcome to Prairieville were two of my favorites in 2021.

If you’re a Logan Mize fan, you already know that, but what you might not know is that his wife, Jill Martin, can SING. With the kind of angelic voice that reminds you of Lee Ann Womack or Kacey Musgraves, she’s the real deal.

With that being said, the husband and wife duo has officially dropped their first EP together, titled The Mizes.

Logan and Jill shared in a joint statement:

“We are so excited our EP ‘The Mizes’ is finally out. We sing about love, marriage, happiness, sadness, and taxes.

We hope you can relate and we can’t wait to play these songs for you live!”

Logan and Jill have a really cool story, as they grew up only 30 minutes apart in Kansas, but didn’t officially meet until finding each other in Nashville, where they were both aspiring songwriters. They hit it off, got married in 2010, and Jill put her music career on the shelf (for the most part) while Logan continued to try and make a name for himself.

However, if you wanna look for some of her solo work, check out her 2016 self-titled album, and her 2018 EP, The Locals.

As good as Logan and Jill are on their own, they just might be even better together. With a sound that harkens back to the glorious era of ’90s country, the fun-loving, yet heartfelt, project is hopefully just the beginning for them as a duo.
