Paying tribute to the legendary Randy Travis in the Lone Star State.
A few weeks ago, it was announced that A Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis – 1 Night, 1 Place, 1 Time would be coming to Huntsville, Alabama on October 24.
The event will feature an all-star lineup paying tribute to the country music legend with many of his 23 #1 hits, and a portion of the proceeds with benefit the Randy Travis Foundation and its mission of supporting not only stroke and aphasia awareness but also music education in schools.
And now, another tribute concert is planned in Texas to honor the country legend.
Announced today, A Texas Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis – 1 Night, 1 Place, 1 Time will take place on Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00 PM at the Texas Trust CU Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas – and this one is going to have more of a Texas flair than the show in Alabama.
The Texas show will specifically feature artists who are either from, or greatly associated with, the Lone Star State performing some of Randy’s biggest hits, with the lineup for both shows to be announced in the coming weeks.
During a press conference, Randy and his wife Mary spoke on the two tributes that are planned:
“In Alabama, there will be a lot of the Nashville contingent there…In Texas we will focus on the Texas artists.”
Tickets for the show go on sale on August 18, and once again a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Randy Travis Foundation.
