Your week just got 100 times better.
Zach Bryan just dropped the full-length, live version of his unreleased song “Starved,” along with the demo version and a studio version.
He’s been playing it out on the road lately, and previously teased a short clip of the new tune, which is really just a taste of the whole live album he plans to record at his Red Rocks debut in November.
If you’ve seen him live in concert before, and even if you haven’t, then you know just how incredible his live shows really are.
Thus, even though he just released the 34 track American Heartbreak album in May, his 9 song Summertime Blues EP in July, and a new single “Burn, Burn, Burn” in September, in addition to confirming that another record is coming in February featuring another unreleased one he’s been playing live lately called “Deep Satin,” this promises to be the most intriguing project on that list.
Usually, live albums are nothing to write home about, but because of the aforementioned reasons, Zach’s first live album feels really exciting to me:
Lyrically, “Starved” hits on a lot of the themes we often hear Zach singing about, like growing up and heartbreak, but hearing the raw recording and mumblings of the crowd in the background adds such a cool layer to the song.
He also put out the demo version and studio cut on streaming platforms, but damn I can’t wait to hear the whole live album with so many songs we already know and love from his previous records.
Check it out… Zach simply doesn’t miss.
