He’s one of People’s 2026 Sexiest Men Alive…
Riley Green is a country superstar, and a fan-favorite not just because of his music… and the ladies are always wanting to know what’s going on in his love life, and in several different interviews lately, Riley has talked about how he’s just not in a place he feels like he can be in a committed, long-term relationship because of his insane work schedule, and honestly, that’s probably smart… I’m sure he dates around and has girls he hangs out with, but it sounds like it’s gonna be a while before he’s ready to settle down.
And in an feature with People, Riley opened up about being one of the Sexiest Men Alive, saying that he might “get teased” but that’s okay:
“I’ll get teased, but nobody can ever take this away from me!”
I mean, nobody can take it away from Blake Shelton either… but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get roasted for it every single year when it rolls around. That being said, nobody is gonna argue about Riley getting the title… it’s undisputed.
He added that, with all of his success, the things he’s most proud of have to do with his family, not all the fame and fortune.
And of course with being one of the Sexiest Men Alive of course comes questions about his love life, and while Riley usually doesn’t give much away, but he did talk about the most romantic thing he’s done for a girl, which actually sounds pretty sweet.
He says it was around Valentine’s Day, and he set up a tent on a pretty spot on his farm above the lake, with string lights and a campfire, and it sounds like he put in a lot of effort to make it a surprise and something really special, though he admits he doesn’t “know how she felt about it”:
“I remember around one Valentine’s Day, I bought one of those real old army-looking tents, the white canvas tents, and there’s this real pretty spot at my farm up above the lake. And I set it up and had little string lights in there and had a whole little campfire, but I had to do it while the girl was there.
So I was constantly like, ‘Let me go check on the animals,’ and I’d run up there and put one pole up. And so it was a little surprise thing. I thought that was pretty romantic. I don’t know how she felt about it.”
Sounds really romantic to me, but he joked that it obviously “didn’t go that well” because they’re no longer together:
“Well, it didn’t go that well. I mean, here we are.”
In terms of his ideal date, Riley says he loves movies and he thinks a drive-in to see an old movie would be cool:
“I’m a big movie guy. If I could find a drive-in, wouldn’t that be cool? I’m sure they still have them. Maybe a steak somewhere and a drive-in to watch an old movie.”
Riley is also a big car guy, and he says it would be hard to pick one for the perfect date, but he has a ‘72 Bronco that he really loves. He added loves a good romcom, naming all of the Matthew McConaughey movies as his favorite, so it sounds like he has great taste.
Riley recently released a new album called That’s Just Me, and you can check out some of my favorites below.
