Does Zach Bryan ever sleep?
He just announced a slew of new shows that will run through November for his American Heartbreak tour, coming hot on the heels of his massive, 34-track debut studio album, and now, he’s confirmed there’s a live album in the works.
At the last stop on his headlining tour, which he says will “probably be the last,” he’s closing it out at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado.
And not only is it a helluva way to end the lengthy cross country trek of cities, he plans to record a live album straight from the Rocky Mountains:
I can only imagine it will be epic, but I have no idea how he’s going to even begin to narrow down the set list for this one… I mean, I don’t know how he’s gonna do that at any of the shows on tour. It sounds like an impossible job to me, and I’m glad I don’t have to be the one to make the call.
I envision this live album as a different kind of take on that original, lo-fi, acoustic sound his first couple albums had that his fans first fell in love with.
And in addition to this live album, he recently announced two more EP’s he’s working on called Summertime Blues and an armed forces medley “for all the men and woman serving this country.”
Zach is a now-retired member of the U.S. Navy, and he was honorably discharged from service last fall to pursue music full-time.
Tickets for some of the just-announced tour dates are already on sale, with others going live Thursday and Friday morning.
