San Diego Padres Outfielder Jurickson Profar Collapses After Scary Collision In The Outfield

A football player falling to the ground

Talk about a scary scene.

In the top of the fifth inning between the San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres, Padres shortstop C.J. Abrams and outfielder Jurickson Profar collided while going after a ball.

Although Abrams made a spectacular catch, Profar took a shin to the head from the shortstop, sending them both tumbling to the ground.

After a few seconds, Abrams got back up, but Profar was clearly in serious pain as he remained on the ground.

Finally, the 29-year-old outfielder was helped up to his feet, but things took a quick turn for the worse when he tried to make his way to the dugout to get evaluated by trainers.

The man fell right over, and it appeared he was knocked out cold.

According to Yahoo Sports, it took more than five minutes for the Padres to get a cart out for him after he collapsed the second time.

However, it appears that he came too, as he gave the crowd a thumbs up while being carted off the field.

Any kind of head injuries like this are always a scary scene, and you hate to see it happen to a guy who is having a great year, as the now Padres’ leadoff hitter is batting .242 with eight home runs and 50 RBIs.

We all hope Profar can make a speedy recovery.
