Austin Meade Brings The Disco Rock With New Single “Red Roof Estates”

Austin Meade just dropped his latest single “Red Roof Estates” and the accompanying music video to go along with it.

His third single in less than a year, following December’s “Loser Mentality” and May’s “Varsity Type,” “Red Roof Estates” wrestles with the heavy subject of infidelity.

The Texas native has found his unique sound and place in the music scene over the course of three albums and an EP, beginning with a country/rock sound that has since evolved into full blown rock and roll.

Lately, his sound and music content have been somewhat reminiscent of late ‘90s/early 2000s angst bands like Blink-182, Green Day, Yellowcard, all while containing influences from the Texas/Red Dirt music scene and older rock bands.

This one however, as Austin told me… “some new disco rock if you want to dance.”

The music video for “Red Roof Estates” is filmed at one of my favorite music venues I’ve been to, River Road Ice House in New Braunfels, TX. It follows an disloyal man who’s out looking for trouble, and eventually gets what he has coming for him.

The whole thing takes place as Meade and his band play the song on stage, and the crowd goes crazy. Looks like a pretty good time…

Check out “Red Roof Estates” and the music video here.

I highly recommend checking out more of Meade’s tunes, and catching a show at River Road Ice House if you ever get the chance.
