Luke Combs Has Officially Become The Face Of Bass Amateur Shop

Bass Amateur Shop sounds like the place I need to be shopping at…

Luke Combs stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live recently for a hilarious segment, where he encouraged people who know nothing about fishing to stop by Bass Amateur Shop, as opposed to Bass Pro Shop.

Dressed in over-the-top fishing gear, he has some pretty dang good acting chops, as he delivered a fantastic infomercial for the non-existent fishing store, telling customers that they’re welcome to come learn about all the gear and ask as many stupid questions as their heart desires, saying, in part:

“Hey y’all, I’m Luke Combs, and I love to fish, but I’m no pro. That’s why I start every adventure with a trip to Bass Amateur Shop. The place for people who love to fish, but don’t have the faintest idea how to do it.

Our friendly employees are ready to help find the gear that’s right for you, and answer all of your stupidest questions.”

He listed some of the equipment you can find at the store, too, including “cranky turny guys,” (reels) “dental floss” (fishing wire), and “Christmas ornaments” (bobbers):

“We’ve got everything you need, from the little cranky turny guys, the big tall shoes, dental floss, the scoopty-doop, and a big-ass selection of Christmas ornaments.

So come on down to Bass Amateur Shop, ‘cuz you don’t have to be a professional to get drunk on a lake.”

Touché…

Cue up the “On The Other Line”

Luke just released his third career studio album, Growin’ Up, just last week, and welcomed a brand new baby boy, Tex Lawrence Combs, on Father’s Day.

Though there’s a lot of good stuff on the new record, I’ve still had his duet with Miranda Lambert, “Outrunnin’ Your Memory,” on repeat:
