Joe Exotic Resentenced To 21 Years In Prison… Only One Year Less Than Original Sentence

Tiger King Joe Exotic

Welp, looks like Joe Exotic ain’t getting out of jail anytime soon…

According to ABC News, a federal judge resentenced the Tiger King himself, Mr. Joe Exotic to 21 years in prison this morning, effectively reducing his sentence by just one year. Stricken with cancer, Joe has pleaded with the court not to let him die in prison.

“Please don’t make me die in prison waiting for a chance to be free.”

Joe Exotic was originally convicted in 2019 on 21 counts including two for hiring hitmen to murder Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin, and another 19 counts for crimes related to animal abuse and cruelty. In 2020, he was sentenced to 22 years in prison.

Unfortunately for Joe, the evidence doesn’t suggest he should be let off. In 2017, he offered 10 grand to an undercover FBI agent to murder Baskin. He said:

“Just like follow her into a mall parking lot and just cap her and drive off.”

And despite offering to him Joe, Baskin herself was also allowed to attend the hearing and would reportedly be “afraid for her safety” if he were be released.

“He continues to harbor intense feelings of ill will toward me.”

So much for helping him out…

A number of Joe Exotic supporters were present in the courtroom, however Joe’s lawyers said they would appeal both the resentencing as well as petition for a new trial.

Donald Trump denied Exotic’s request for a pardon at the end of his term.
