There’s no shortages of double albums these days in country music, and Jason Aldean is the latest to jump on the bandwagon.
He released the first half of the album, Macon, last month, and I have to say, it’s one of the better Jason Aldean albums (relative to his own music, of course) of the past few years.
The album contains the hit single “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood, as well as a number of live recordings of his greatest hits, like “Amarillo Sky,” “Big Green Tractor,” “She’s Country,” and several others.
Not to mention, he has that cover of Bryan Adam’s “Heaven” on it as well.
Now, he’s officially releasing the track-list for the second half of the double-album, titled Georgia, which officially drops April 22nd.
Similar to Macon, the album consists of a mix of new songs, and live recordings of hits like “Burnin’ It Down,” “Any Ol’ Barstool,” and “Rearview Town.”
“We’ve always tried to lean toward more songs than less…and this album is no different. We decided to pepper in some of the live tracks we’ve had stockpiled for a while.
After nine albums and 16 years of recording, I hope people can tell I wanted to make this tenth album fun and different from anything we’ve done before.”
Released today, the lead track from Georgia is titled “Whiskey Me Away,” and it was written by Morgan Wallen, Rodney Clawson, and two members of Eric Church’s band, Driver Williams and Jeff Hyde.
