Random Guy Predicted The Atlanta Braves Would Beat The Astros In 6 Games In The 2021 World Series… Back In 2016

I am baffled right now.

In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard the news yet, the Atlanta Braves won the World Series last night against the Houston Astros in six games, marking their first World Series win since 1995.

Pretty wild for a team that was below .500 at the All-Star break, and lost their star player Ronald Acuna to a torn ACL a few weeks after. AND their workhorse pitcher, Charlie Morton, went down in Game 1 of the Series.

Nevertheless, the Braves found a way to get it done while punching adversity in the mouth, and dominated the Astros 7-0 last night to win the series 4-2.

As wild as that may be, perhaps that wasn’t the craziest thing that happened last night.

A tweet began to circulate, dating back to October of 2016 from a dude named Cole Rodgers, where he PREDICTED the Braves to beat the Astros in game six this year.

I have so many questions.

Cole, are you a fortuneteller?

Did you take a trip on Doc’s DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future?

I could see somebody predicting a team to win the World Series in a certain year, but we’re talking the exact game, and exact two teams the series was won in.

You sir, should have put some money on this.

You could be a millionaire…

Needless to say, Twitter burst into flames…
