Cody Jinks knows how to get the people going.
He’s one of country music’s last true outlaw rockstar personas and songs like “Ain’t A Train” and “All It Cost Me Was Everything” will get the adrenaline pumping.
His music goes great with a cold beer (just ask Stone Cold Steve Austin), but he also knows how to tug on the heartstrings, as evident by one of my favorite tunes of his, “Mamma’s Song.”
He’s undoubtedly one of the most versatile artists in the game right now, simultaneously pumping out both a new country music and heavy metal album later this year.
His musical catalog is so deep that you need to take a deep dive and listen to as much of it as possible.
Jinks is a guy that has stuck to his guns and done things his own way throughout his career, and he’s done them quite successfully.
Songs like “Loud & Heavy” and “Hippies & Cowboys” went gold without ever being played on the radio. “Loud & Heavy” actually made it even more big-time than gold and recently went platinum.
He also started his own independent record label this summer.
And like most of our favorite artists in country music, Jinks loves to spend some time outdoors.
Jinks teamed up with the team from the TV show Daybreak Outdoors for his first-ever duck hunt back in 2018, but the video hunt just recently surfaced online for the first time, and it will get you jacked up for this upcoming waterfowl season.
He grew up deer and dove hunting, and from the looks of things, he couldn’t have had a better introduction to the world of duck hunting than this experience.
He and the Daybreak team put the absolute smackdown on some ducks and geese in the middle of a Missouri blizzard which goes to show the nastier the weather, the better the waterfowl hunting.
There’s just something special about crappy weather, loud duck calls, heavy shotgun blasts, and wet dogs.
