VIDEO: Rare Footage Of Miranda Lambert Performing “Kerosene” At Billy Bobs Texas 14 Years Ago

In honor of it being The Marfa Tapes release week, I want to take a little trip down memory lane.

Miranda Lambert burst onto the country music scene back in 2005 with her breakout album, Kerosene. Since then, she’s gone on to become a household name and one of the most decorated female artists of our time.

Some (Parker McCollum) may even call her the Dolly of our generation… and yes, I tend to agree with that statement for a variety of reasons I won’t get into in this article. But, regardless where you stand on that debate, I think we can all agree she’s a badass country music singer and has always done what she wanted to do with her music.

The title track to her aforementioned album, “Kerosene,” is still one of my favorites to this day. It’s scorched, and rocking, and I love nothing more than to scream it at the top of my lungs.

Which leads me to the purpose of this article… a video of a baby-faced Miranda circa 2007 performing the song at the iconic Texas venue, Billy Bob’s. I do love a full circle moment.

As you probably know, she recently returned to Billy Bob’s for a run of sold-out shows, making them her very first live concerts since COVID took over live events earlier last year. Not only did she bring the house down at all the shows from what I could tell, she got pretty emotional singing one of her other well-known hits, “The House That Built Me.”

While her hair and style may have changed some since this concert years ago, she hasn’t lost one bit of her edge, as is evidenced by her pink guitar and head-banging dance moves.

Do yourself a favor and bask in the greatness that has always been Miranda Lambert:

And I’ll leave this here, too, because I don’t think it’s ever gonna get old (and you can read the full story on it HERE):
