Welp, Jana Kramer officially has filed for divorce.
To say her marriage to Michael Caussin has been a roller coaster would be an understatement.
After numerous bouts with infidelity, the couple separated, and then reunited after Caussin underwent treatment for sex addiction. Jana also revealed that he relapsed in 2018. He also received “topless sexts” in the past couple years, and Jana recently received an anonymous message that he was cheating again.
So needless to say, it’s been rough.
They’ve always been extremely candid about their difficult journey, however today, it appears as though that journey has come to an end.
According to People, Jana has filed for divorce after Caussin cheated again:
“He cheated and broke her trust again. After fighting for the marriage for so long, she’s come to terms with the realization that his patterns were never going to change.”
Jana released the following statement on Instagram:
“It’s time. As I try to make sense of a reality I never wanted to believe could be possible again, those words have now become a reality.
I’ve fought y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put the work in. I’ve given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give.
Please know that I still believe wholeheartedly in marriage, love, and rebuilding. I just can’t fight any longer. It’s time to heal.
Thank you for all the love, heart, and support, in many ways you have fought on this journey alongside me, and for that I am grateful. I’ll always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you can’t fight it alone.”
The couple had been married for 6 years. They have two children.
One of her more recent singles was titled “Beautiful Lies,” a song detailing the pain of his infidelity.
