Yikes…
On the latest episode of their “Whine Down” podcast, Jana Kramer and husband Mike Caussin got extremely candid about a topless photo that he received over the weekend. Of course, after multiple instances of infidelity, Mike was previously treated for sexual addiction and even admitted to relapsing 18 months ago.
Despite not wanting to even record a podcast at all, Jana and Mike peeled back the curtain everything they’re going through right now. Mike began the podcast detailing what happened and how he reacted to the situation:
“On Saturday, we had some friends in town, about to go out for a date night and I receive this text message from a number I don’t recognize. Open it up, it’s a picture of a female and,” says Mike right before Jana interjects with “large boobs, top off, yeah…”
Mike continues “message from a female with weird writing saying ‘let’s try to meet up this time’ or something like that.”
Mike went on to say that something like this happened a year ago and he told Jana immediately. He brought it to her attention and they were able to move on, however this time, Mike just deleted the text on his phone. After all, the couple was about to go on a group date and he didn’t want to ruin that, plus he didn’t want to trigger Jana again and ruin the progress they’ve made in their marriage. However, Jana later saw the message when she went through his Apple Watch. Mike insisted that he didn’t know this person, and the only way that she could’ve gotten his number was during his relapse 18 months ago. However, needless to say, Jana’s trust was immediately shaken.
“Every time I’ve had that intuition, it tells me to look, and I always find something. And, when I looked, I was like ‘God dammit.’ My heart just fell and I thought ‘it’s here, it’s happened again, I’m such a fucking idiot.'”
Jana went on to explain how she called and texted the number of the woman and the women said she couldn’t talk on the phone, but she was willing to come over and tell Jana everything. However, once the texts started to get weird, Jana thought that she was possibly communicating with a bot and not a real person. Ultimately, the podcast came to an abrupt end when Jana was admittedly “closing off” and said she just wanted to be done with the podcast.
Jana elaborated further on her latest Instagram post:
“We decided to open the door into what happened and woah did we let it all out. Those of you may not understand the trauma and the pain around what we talked about and openly shared so please be nice and know we ended up keeping the episode because we hope it can help. See that’s the thing. None of this has been easy with our shares but we just hope along the way we are able to help others out there not feel so alone. Reality is no matter what you’ve been through marriage can be a difficult walk especially with added triggers and pain…but know this, your not alone in that walk and we are here rooting y’all on.
