Coach Gordon Bombay (what a name by the way) leading this rag tag group of hooligan hockey kids from District 5 against the cake-eating Hawks, those assholes from Iceland, and then those varsity bastards at Eden Hall…. what a perpetual underdog story.
And now, Emilo Estevez will reprise his role as Coach Bombay in a new Disney+ spin-off.
Titled The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, the new 10-episode series takes us back to Minneapolis where the Ducks have now become the powerhouse team, and some can’t-hack-it scrub named Evan gets cut from the team. With the help of Coach Bombay, 12-year-old Evan (and his mom) put together another rag tag team of misfits to challenge Coach Bombay’s former team.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers will premiere March 26th.
