Now we’re talking.

With Coronavirus still fucking up just about every thing in the world right now, the government is working on another stimulus package to help out all the folks that have been affected by the closures and work stoppages.

And the good people at Mountain Dew are doing their part to help out as well. Because the one place you ain’t gonna catch the Rona, out in the woods.

With their new “Outdoor Stimulus” plan, Mountain Dew is committing $100,000 dollars this year to pay for hunting and fishing licenses, giving each applicant $20 bucks towards a license of their choice. Here in Illinois, a fishing licenses is $15, a hunting license is $12 and a combo is about $25… so matter what you’re trying to do this year, Dew pretty much has you covered. And of course, hunting and fishing license fees go to benefit animal and environmental conservation efforts across the country. It’s a win-win.

“MTN DEW’s roots share a deep sense of regional pride with the Heartland—it’s a way of life and a commitment to the community and land,” said Julie Raheja-Perera, MTN DEW. “We know this year has brought many challenges and that Heartlanders live for the days they can spend outdoors—be it on the fishing on the lake or hunting with families and friends. We want them to know we are out here with them by providing a small kick start to get outside and unleash their passions.”

The contest starts today and is limited to the first 5,000 applicants. You can sign up here, but you must have already purchased your license to be reimbursed.

With everybody cooped up inside and losing their fucking minds, getting out into nature on Mountain Dew’s dime sounds like just what the doctor ordered.
