Is there a better way to start your day than Brooks & Dunn‘s “Brand New Man?”
How about Brooks & Dunn singing “Brand New Man” for their first ever appearance at The Grand Ole Opry?
Here, we take it all the way back to 1992, as we see a young Ronnie and Kix playing in front of a packed Grand Ole Opry House.
It’s obvious from the get go that they’re ecstatic to be there. An emotional Ronnie says in front of an applauding crowd:
“You know I could tell you, it’s been said by I’m sure everybody’s who’s walked up here for the first time what an honor it is to be here at The Grand Ole Opry, and have y’all share that experience with us. I think this is about the most moved I’ve ever been to this point in country music.”
Then ol’ Kix weighs in:
“Yeah we’ve both talked about it before we got out here ya know, we’ve waited our whole lives to be here on this stage and it’s really special to have y’all sharing this moment with us, and it’s really great y’all and thank you.”
The debut song from their debut studio album, Brand New Man, put them on the map, going six times Multi-Platinum.
This is such a cool moment in time, recorded and forever etched in the history books for our viewing pleasure.
Because back before these guys became the biggest country duo on the planet, they were just some wide eyed youngins trying to make a name for themselves. And they damn sure did.
