The already infamous interview might’ve been worse than we imagined.
Over the weekend, an interview with former NFL coach Bill Belichick went viral, not only because he’s coaching college football for the first time after taking the job as head coach at UNC, but for the part his (much) younger new girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, played in everything.
During an interview with CBS Sunday Mornings, Jordon sat off to the side, watching intently as Bill was questioned about a wide array of topics. And when interviewer Tony Dokoupil asked how the couple met, which has already widely been covered, Hudson quickly chimed in from off camera to shut it down:
“We’re not talking about this.”
It was an incredibly awkward moment that seemed to catch the interviewer off guard, and when Dokoupil asked about the photos of their relationship that Hudson shared on social media, Belichick didn’t seem interested in discussing that either:
“I’m on some of those social media platforms, but I honestly don’t follow them.”
“We’re not talking about this.”

There’s a 48-year age difference between the 73-year old coach and the 24-year old former cheerleader, who reportedly met on a flight a few years ago and kept in touch after striking up a conversation. (What could they possibly have to talk about? Who knows). She previously claimed that they met on a flight in February of 2021, while Hudson was a student at Bridgewater State University. TMZ reported back then that Belichick approached her after noticing she was reading a textbook on Deductive Logic and signed it with his Super Bowl victories..
And she’s apparently even helping Belichick out in his new job, as recently-released emails showed that Belichick had asked UNC staff members to copy Hudson on emails to him so she could help the team out with social media, and Hudson expressing her concerns with comments about their relationship on the team’s social media posts
“Is there anyone monitoring the UNC Football page for slanderous commentary and subsequently deleting it/blocking users that are harassing BB in the comments?”
The next day, Belichick added:
“I cannot believe that UNC would support my being called a ‘predator.’”
Hudson’s official title is apparently, “Chief Operating Officer of Belichick Productions,” AKAhis personal mouthpiece and PR agent.
Hudson has also been spotted helping out at UNC football practice, which led to a lot of comments – and some concerns from Tar Heel fans (rightfully so, I’d be seriously concerned if I was a Tar Heel fan):

It’s really not a good look for the legendary NFL head coach, and according to TMZ, Hudson reportedly stormed off the set during the interview, and “expected Bill to follow her.” The whole thing caused a 30-minute delay, and she apparently interrupted the interview several other times throughout the process, including corrected her boyfriend on some of his answer to football-related questions… I mean, she’s got some serious nerve to correct Bill Belichick, one of the NFL’s greatest coaches, on the one subject he knows more about than anyone.
Sources also told the outlet that Dokoupil was “spooked” Jordon’s behavior throughout the interview and tried to end it as quickly as possible. Hudson and Belichick showed up to the interview with no other staff, UNC personnel or anything like that, which is pretty unusual and obviously speaks to the nature of the relationship the two have that is unlike anything I’ve seen with any coach and a girlfriend or wife.
CBS News executives also reportedly had to get involved in the editing process to figure out how to save the segment, because of the interruptions and multiple awkward moments thanks to Hudson’s interjections. They reportedly also canceled a second interview Belichick had with CBS.
It’s going to be incredibly interesting to see how this upcoming football season plays out, and whether or not Hudson is still around come fall. TMZ also reported that UNC staffers are getting to be more and more concerned about Hudson’s involvement in Belichick’s professional life, with a source telling the outlet that there’s a “growing sense this could become a problem.”
No kidding… good luck this season, Tar Heel fans. It feels like we’re not too far off from seeing Jordon on the sidelines with a headset herself.
