Somehow this new book from Bill Belichick will still be named a “New York Times Best Seller.”
I’ve got a theory that every book is given that honor, as it’s a win-win for the New York Times and the author. I know there’s actually something to it, but seriously… have you ever seen a book that doesn’t have the “best seller” stamped all over the front of it? I didn’t think so.
With all that being said, some credit does deserve to be extended to former NFL coach (and current University of North Carolina coach) Bill Belichick. On the list of most winningest coaches in the history of the National Football League, Bill comes in at number two behind Don Schula. But when it comes to Super Bowl victories, no head coach has more than Belichick’s six Lombardi Trophies with New England.
So it only makes sense that the legendary football coach would put out a book titled The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football. After all, the head coach of the Patriots Dynasty certainly should know a thing or two about building, achieving and maintaining success at a high level.
The book is set to release sometime in May, as Adam Schefter reported:

Pretty bland cover if you ask me…
For all we know, this book from Bill could be a certifiable page turner. Hell, it could even turn into a handbook that coaches across the world pull from to build their own respective dynasties. That being said, many people are seeing the announcement from Belichick and wondering the exact same thing… is it just going to be about having Tom Brady?
The jokes have been flying in from all directions, considering Belichick reached his coaching peak while Brady was his quarterback. Then when Tom left New England for Tampa Bay, it seemed like all of the “success” and “winning” followed him to the Buccaneers. And Bill did eventually get fired by the Patriots after a couple of lackluster seasons in the post-Tom-Brady era.
That’s why so many people online are joking that the book could be a simple and relatively short read:

Is that because “the art of cheating” was not available as a title?

The correct title should have been “The Art of Riding Tom Brady’s Coattails.” As his career without TB12 is a disaster

I will say, if you watch Bill on his weekly appearances on The Pat McAfee Show, it becomes pretty clear that he didn’t become the GOAT by mistake… the man knows ball. However, he said he learned from from Tom Brady and Randy Moss than they ever learned from him.
"I learned a lot more from Tom Brady than he learned from me..
When we would sit in those meetings he would let me know everything that he saw as a Quarterback..
I learned a tremendous amount from Tom and Randy Moss" ~ Bill Belichick #PMSLive https://t.co/F8KROqTtHx pic.twitter.com/abNmhBwLEs
