His first solo debut on the Hot 100.
Today, Morgan Wallen scored his third #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, as his most recent single “Love Somebody” debuted at #1 on the chart, which encompasses all musical genres.
He previously scored #1’s with his duet with Post Malone “I Had Some Help” earlier this summer, as well as his crossover hit “Last Night,” which was a solo release that did not debut at the top spot, though it did stay there for 16 non-consecutive weeks in 2023.
Pretty much everything Morgan is putting out right now is shooting up the country charts at an unprecedented pace, and even on the mainstream top 40 charts, and it just continues to accelerate each release. His extensive One Night At A Time world tour also recently became the highest-selling country music tour of all-time.

Morgan wrote “Love Somebody” with John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Elof Loelv and Ryan Vojtesak, and focuses on how he longs for a real relationship with a girl who loves him for who he is as a person, rather than a massive country star with unending amounts of money and fame.
It seems likely that Morgan pulled inspiration from his own personal life with this one, because he’s been on a rocket ship to the moon the last several years with his music, and it shows no sings of slowing down anytime soon.
The Tennessee native has been hinting that he has a new album in the works, so this will obviously be included on that tracklist once a project is officially announced. Morgan also put out “Lies Lies Lies” earlier this summer, which debuted at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Last week, Morgan put out a live performance video of “Love Somebody” from his record-setting hometown show at Neyland Stadium:
