Looks like the Swifties have turned on Brittany Mahomes.
The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has always been a polarizing figure. And of course a big part of the reason the internet doesn’t like Brittany is because of her close friendship and antics with her husband’s annoying little brother, Jackson Mahomes.
But she’s also been caught throwing drinks on opposing fans at Arrowhead Stadium, been accused of having “Karen energy” (and issued a Karen-like response to the characterization), and also drew the ire of Taylor Swift fans after they dug up old tweets from Brittany bashing the pop star girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
She seemed to gain a little bit of respect when she was spotted partying while Jackson was denied a spot at her VIP table.

And Swifties finally began to accept her after she reportedly got Taylor’s stamp of approval after the two became friends last season.
But she may have just lost any goodwill she had built up with the pop star’s rabid fanbase…because she (might be) a Trump supporter.
This week, screenshots started going around showing that Brittany had “liked” a post on former President Donald Trump’s Instagram of the 2024 GOP Platform.

Of course Swift is a Democrat who endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, and it was even been rumored that she would be appearing at the DNC to endorse Kamala Harris (though that ended up not being true).
But obviously Swift’s fans are, for the most part, not Trump supporters – so when they saw that Brittany liked the GOP nominee’s post, they weren’t happy and began calling for Taylor to dump her friend:

Well apparently Brittany saw the comments – but it doesn’t sound like she’s too worried about them.
On her Instagram story this afternoon, Mahomes posted a message to her “haters,” basically them they need to grow up:
I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”
Mahomes hasn’t publicly expressed her support for Trump, but apparently liking the post was enough for the Swifties.
