The boat ramp giveth, and the boat ramp taketh away.
Anyone that’s ever been out on the water knows that a day on the boat usually involves traversing the demanding sloped surface known as the boat ramp. For experienced, responsible boaters, the ramp is often no obstacle at all. For those that aren’t as well versed – and have possibly had a little too much to drink – the boat ramp is a battle ground.
If drinking is involved, the semi-simple act of backing your boat in or pulling your boat out can be complicated. We saw that in all of its glory not too long ago when an intoxicated boater tried to step in as a replacement for his boat trailer’s wench and… well that didn’t go according to plan.
But in this video, things were going wrong long before they even got the boat lined up with the trailer. In fact, I don’t even know where the boat is that this guy is supposed to be backing up towards.
And if it was somewhere close, his buddy driving the boat was probably going to distance himself from his friend as things like this were being shouted towards the driver:
-“Hey you dumb mother f**ker!”
-“Stop him!”
-“Somebody get him out of the car.”
All of those words were echoing across the lake (presumably Keystone Lake in Oklahoma, but can’t confirm) because the man, who was likely intoxicated, had jackknifed his boat trailer and was just continuing to push it down the ramp. In doing so, he was dangerously close to hitting a truck that was down at the bottom of the ramp – and based on other things being yelled throughout the clip, he had already run into two other cars in the parking lot prior to backing up.
So one improvisational boat ramp enforcer decided to take matters into his own hands. He ran right up to the driver’s side door, motioning for the guy to get out of the car while yelling some rapid fire insults and questions:
“I’m about to rip your ass out of this f***ing car. Get out, NOW! Get over there. Your f***ing trailer is sideways. You hit two mother****ing vehicles. You’re fixing to hit another f***ing truck. What the f*** you gonna do now? What are you gonna say now?”
Nothing can get you scared straight like a redneck spitting out curse words and questions right in your face.
Though apparently some more official enforcers were on their way to the boat ramp as this all went down. You can hear some people in the background talking about how the cops were called and that they were on their way, and one woman even suggested right then and there that the inebriated boater needed to be put behind bars:
“He needs to go to jail. He’s messed up. He hit two car down there, did you see it?”
We don’t know what happened after the fact, but we can assume that justice was served in some way. Either the cops showed up, or that redneck kicked the jackknifing driver’s ass. There was bound to be law and order any way you served it up.
But holy smokes, this was a sh*t show:
