What’s that shower routine looking like this days?
Are you a “wash every inch” kind of person, or do you just hit the important parts and let water and gravity rinse off the rest?
That’s the debate that’s swirling over on Twitter right now thanks to retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, who set off quite the conversation when he revealed that he doesn’t wash his feet when he showers.
It all started when somebody tweeted that Kelce “looks like he doesn’t wash his legs or feet,” which I assume was meant as an insult but is also oddly specific.
For his part though, Kelce wasn’t insulted – because as he revealed, he does not, in fact, wash his feet:
What kind of weirdo washes their feet…. https://t.co/djbjj39Lyw

Of course Jason is also known for always rocking a pair of flip flops, so maybe his feet just don’t get sweaty since they’re always airing out. But nevertheless, some people were pretty disgusted by Kelce’s confession:
you’ve gone too far this time…

Kelce, you gotta wash the feet man!

Someone that doesn’t want them to smell, Jason. Not rocker science, or a human sacrifice. Just the basic hygiene we expect people to know lest they stink up the common areas.

But Kelce stood by his hygiene stance, boldly asserting that washing the “hot spots” is all that’s necessary.
All of you have been fed diabolical lies that washing every crevice of your bodies and hair, all the time is somehow better or healthier. Any dermatologist not in bed with Big Soap will agree!! Hot spots are all that is necessary and actually leads to cleaner healthier skin.

(He also clarified that the ass is indeed a “hot spot,” which he says he considers the ass, balls and armpits).
Dude, I said hot spots, your ass is definitely a hot spot. Ass, Balls and Pits, that’s it

And while some were repulsed, Kelce also found quite a bit of support from the non-feet washing community, who claim that the feet are naturally washed as the soap and water runs down, which eliminates the need for scrubbing.

Thats a job for gravity, god bless it. the water and soap when it falls down. No man has ever bent down to wash anything.

It’s natural. You stand up in the shower. You use soap. The soap runs down your body and washes your legs and feet for you.
Why waste time and soap and double the effort? Makes no sense.

Doesn’t the water and soap do that naturally while you shower?

Reading through the replies, it seems like the opinions were divided pretty neatly down gender lines, with women repulsed that he doesn’t wash his feet and men tending to agree that it’s a job for gravity to take care of.
I mean, at least he’s showering…
But which side do you fall on, because now I’m curious how this breaks down.
