This past weekend, Arizona was loud and rowdy for Country Thunder. With headliners like Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Eric Church, and Koe Wetzel, country music fans were in for a weekend of stellar performances. And that just scratches the surface of the incredible talent featured on the full lineup.

But on the last night of the Arizona festival, during Koe Wetzel’s set, the Texas native known for bringing the rowdy vibes to his set took a pause to help a festival goer.

A Doberman, which was a service dog for one of the attendees, went missing during the festival, and Koe took time out of his set to make sure everyone in the crowd was aware of the missing companion. Before firing up his latest single, “9 Lives (Black Cat),” he took a second to address the crowd with a public service announcement.

“Just look around; if y’all see a black dog, just be like, ‘Yo Sosa…come here.’

Boy right? It’s a boy dog named Sosa, just throwing that out there. We are on red alert.”

Koe gets major points for taking time out of his show to make it aware that the dog was missing. A lost dog is heartbreaking alone, but a lost service dog is even more gut-wrenching, knowing that their owners depend on them.

Hoping that Sosa was returned to their owner safe and sound.
