The voice of an angel.

Last weekend, Kacey Musgraves headlined a private event for Texas Children’s Hospital in Austin, where she of course played many new songs from her recent Deeper Well album, and sang plenty of other fan-favorites like “Merry Go ‘Round” and “I Remember Everything,” her duet with Zach Bryan.

And she also performed a gorgeous cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” which she’s known to do at shows every now and then, though covers in general aren’t something that Kacey does super often so I’m always excited when she pulls out one like this.

Of course, “Dreams” was included on Fleetwood Mac’s iconic 1977 Rumours albumand reached the #1 spot on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 chart later that same year. It’s remained a classic and fan-favorite ever since, and I would absolutely love for Kacey to make a real deal studio cover of it one day.

Her voice is so pure and gorgeous, and I know that’s a pipe dream, but still… I think it would be incredible.

If you’ve never heard Kacey’s rendition of “Dreams” before, it’s high time to change that. Check it out:

And if you want to see a full rendition, Kacey’s performance of the song at Austin City Limits Festival in 2022 is breathtaking:
